Carmel, California, 1962. Tom Whitman, a lonely Advertisement Clerk and Anne Caldwell, an alluring woman with whom he has been acquainted with, converse over their relationship one evening and arise into an argument. Before long, we find out both have been cheating on their significant spouses for many months, revealing personal issues and wrongful doings, which conflict with their reasoning to find satisfaction in their unfulfilled lives. Soon, the illicit couple must decide what would be at stake if to grapple with the risks of pursuing their forbidden relationship or abiding by the consequences of their unfaithfulness.
