Tayfun is an ordinary employee known for making “simple yet bizarre” mistakes at his corporate job. Unbeknownst to everyone, he has been committing these errors deliberately, just to trigger a specific scolding from his manager and hear her use the word “göbel”. When he is finally fired, his safe haven of fixation shatters. Embarking on an obsessive quest through different layers of society to hear that word again, Tayfun loses control and plummets into a delusion of his own making and childlike regression. Göbel is a dark comedy about corporate repression and ambiguous madness.
