IndieX Film Fest Announces FilmVault as Official DCP Partner & Official Prize Partner

IndieX Film Fest is proud to announce a new partnership with FilmVault, which joins the festival as Official DCP Partner & Official Prize Partner.

Through this collaboration, FilmVault will not only provide a valuable new industry prize for award-winning filmmakers but will also become an integral part of IndieX Film Fest’s exhibition workflow, supporting the secure management, validation, storage, and delivery of Digital Cinema Packages for future screenings and annual events.

Beginning with the August 2026 edition, the recipient of the Best Short of the Season (Special Jury Award) will receive a complimentary professional Digital Cinema Package (DCP) for their next film (up to 40 minutes in runtime), generously provided by FilmVault. The prize may be redeemed for one future project within two years of the award announcement.

Supporting Filmmakers Beyond the Festival

FilmVault is a modern cinema delivery platform that helps filmmakers prepare their work for theatrical exhibition through professional DCP creation, secure cloud storage, and digital cinema delivery services. Designed to simplify the technical side of theatrical distribution, the platform enables filmmakers to securely manage DCPs, trailers, subtitles, artwork, and other essential assets in one place, while ensuring every DCP is validated to Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) standards before theatrical exhibition.

By offering this prize, FilmVault is helping extend the impact of the festival beyond the awards themselves. Rather than recognizing only completed work, the partnership supports filmmakers as they prepare their next project for theatrical exhibition, providing access to an essential professional service used throughout the film industry.

A Smarter Workflow for Festival Exhibition

Beyond supporting the festival’s top monthly award, FilmVault will also become the preferred platform for managing DCP deliveries for IndieX Film Fest’s annual screenings and special events.

Filmmakers who already have a professionally prepared DCP will be be able to submit it through FilmVault, where it can be securely stored, validated, and delivered for exhibition. Those who do not yet have a DCP will also have access to FilmVault’s professional DCP creation services, providing a complete workflow from mastering to theatrical delivery. This flexible approach allows filmmakers to continue using their own DCPs while benefiting from a secure, cloud-based platform designed specifically for cinema exhibition.

The partnership reflects IndieX Film Fest’s commitment to supporting independent filmmakers beyond the competition itself.
