Throughout his career, Sims has been involved in a wide range of cult favorites, restored classics, independent features, and artist-driven productions. His producing credits include Red Surf, notable for being George Clooney’s first major lead role above the title and later praised by filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, as well as Touch Me, an Official Opening Film at the Toronto International Film Festival starring Amanda Peet.

He also oversaw distribution for projects including The Divide, directed by Perry King, and Academy Award-nominated director Amy Berg’s documentary An Open Secret.
Over the years, Sims has helped support and elevate numerous creative talents early in their careers, including Oscar-nominated cinematographer John Schwartzman, The Chosen cinematographer Akis Konstantakopoulos, and cinematographer Matthew Hayward, recipient of the ASC Heritage Award.
In the horror and cult cinema world, Sims produced The Fear, often described as a quintessential 1990s independent horror film, notable for featuring a rare acting appearance by legendary filmmaker Wes Craven. Through his company Arya Worldwide Entertainment, Sims is currently producing The Fear 3 and developing a new re-imagining of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, which is being filmed entirely in Spain.

Beyond filmmaking, Sims has also maintained a significant career in artist management and music production. He has managed multiple Emmy-nominated television personalities, Olympic diving legend Greg Louganis, and Martha Davis & The Motels, while also earning two Platinum records for his work with Dutch music superstar Anouk. Today, he remains active in the electronic and dance music industry, collaborating with labels connected to internationally recognized artists such as Armin van Buuren and Tiësto.
In 2025, Sims received the Premio Internacional Award at the 5th Festival Internacional de Cine de Hellín in Spain, recognizing his long-standing contributions to international independent cinema.
