David Owens finds himself enduring a lonely, monotonous evening in front of the television, when a strangely old-fashioned commercial suddenly catches his attention. Rendered in coarse black-and-white, the ad showcases a seemingly ordinary kitchen knife, yet the longer it plays, the more surreal and disturbing its content becomes. Distorted visuals, unsettling messages, and a dark figure flickering on screen begin to blur the line between fiction and reality. David’s attempts to switch off the television are unsuccessful the broadcast appears to have taken on a life of its own. The unnerving spokeswoman announces the arrival of something sinister, something that is “coming for him.” From the shadows emerges an ominous figure in a dark robe, forcing David into a trance-like state. Ensnared by the influence of the cursed transmission, he ultimately takes his own life. What began as a harmless retro advertisement descends into a lethal nightmare and as David’s lifeless body lies before the screen, the curse prepares its next victim. Davids girlfriend enters the room, unaware that the lethal commercial starts all over again.
