Confetti Star-ion: The NASA COSI & Cosmic Rhapsody Initiative

LOGLINE
In a multidisciplinary cinematic mission, NASA’s COSI team and world-class musicians transform the search for supernova isotopes into a symphonic anthem for Earth’s atmospheric healing.
SYNOPSIS
Confetti Star-ion is a multidisciplinary cinematic event that chronicles the “Stellar Ignition” of a unique global collaboration. Born from a serendipitous meeting between creators Susan Lim and Christina Teenz Tan of the Cosmic Rhapsody Project and John Tomsick, lead of NASA’s COSI mission, the film bridges the gap between complex gamma-ray science and visceral human emotion.
Featuring “Lead Voyager” Tom Ball and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the project transforms the study of stellar isotopes into the “Lavender Catalyst”—a narrative metaphor for environmental renewal where cosmic dust descends to neutralize CO2. Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studio 1, the film weaves real-world mission parameters into an immersive, planetarium-style experience. Confetti Star-ion shows that while science explains how we exist, art defines why it matters, turning the search for heavy elements into a rhythmic, cinematic experience for a new generation of explorers.

Objective: CO2 Neutralization & Global Scientific Literacy.
