Based on a true story.
While traveling in Japan, a man stopped by the same convenience store every evening on his way back to the hotel—buying a new plastic bag each time. Soon, the unused bags started piling up in his room. One day, he finally grabbed one from the pile, reused it, and paid with coins that had been jingling in his pockets for days. When he dropped them into the register, they fell with a playful “cha-cha-cha-cha.”
Even if it’s just one plastic bag at a time, it feels like a tiny victory — a small act that somehow makes both the world — and his heart — a bit lighter.
An animated, playful musical short celebrating simple change and quiet joy.
