In 2008, on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival in a small southern town, a young girl named Lele runs away from home after an emotional outburst caused by long-standing family disputes. During her escape, she encounters a rebellious teenager smoking on the railroad tracks and a melancholic shopkeeper. They are all solitary souls left behind by the fast-paced rise of modern times. On a day meant for family reunions, they meet. Though they seem to be on similar paths, fate will ultimately guide them toward very different lives.
