Unconditional

Shoes in hand, Riley storms out of her girlfriend Avery’s home. A frantic, apologetic Avery follows close behind hoping to convince her to stay. Avery feels awful for reacting badly to something Riley told her about an illness she has. She apologizes, but what is meant as an olive branch only deepens the conflict.
Riley searches for the words to explain how hard it is to talk about this aspect of her illness — her ostomy. Riley accepts herself. But the question remains: can Avery?
Riley decides to show Avery the medical supplies she carries every day. This window into Riley’s world bridges the gap that separated the two girls and they lock eyes, truly seeing each other for the first time.
