It’s the 1920s in a small Swedish town. The baker Yosel (62), closes up shop when he receives an unexpected visitor. Velvel (23), once a troubled kid, now a mobster, tries to pressure Yosel to pay for “protection” or face a deadly price. The deal takes a turn when Yosel is forced to reveal his true colors or risk losing his bakery.
The screenplay is written in English, but the characters in the short film will speak Yiddish.
