Using as an allegory the legend of Daphne who protected herself by turning into a tree, the film follows the emotional journey of modern day Daphne who is diagnosed with breast cancer. Set in two thousand year old London, the film combines poetic imagery with the visual quality of water and trees to describe how dependent we are on the nature world for life and healing.
