“Freedom” is the title track from Dave & the Divas’ debut album, written by Grammy-winning engineer David Amlen and his late sister, Jenny Amlen. Vocalist Cecilē Williams delivers the song inside Sound on Sound Studios in Montclair, New Jersey, where it was recorded. Her performance is intercut with footage filmed at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park in New York City, along with historic clips and archival footage. Released in the year of America’s 250th anniversary, “Freedom” celebrates the liberties the nation was founded on and the ones still being won, from civil rights to LGBTQ equality.
