Seventeen-year-old ballet dancer Lin Fei hides a growth beneath her right armpit, fearing it will cost her a final chance to audition for a prestigious arts school. When the tape concealing it accidentally falls off during rehearsal, she is demoted to an understudy, shattering her hopes of performing. Overwhelmed by shame, she desperately tries to change her body, only to find herself trapped in self-rejection. On the day of the performance, she discovers that Su Yao, the seemingly perfect lead dancer she has always admired, carries a hidden scar of her own.
