Between Tides is a two-minute dance documentary, entirely self-shot, self-choreographed, and self-performed by a student filmmaker standing at the edge of her own adolescence.
No dialogue. No crew. Only a girl, a camera, and the body that carries her through.
The film unfolds in three thresholds: an alley at dawn—anticipation; a chaotic sunrise on the beach—confusion; and finally, release—not resolution, but the courage to step forward. The title reflects the film’s philosophy: there is no single climax in life, only the ceaseless ebb and flow of becoming.
Made alone, with no budget and no formal training, this is not a documentary about adolescence. It is adolescence, recorded from within—by the body that lived it.
Between tides, we dance.
