Body Count is a story in which Olivia Cadel, a struggling, trans-female actor navigates the dysphoria and identity crisis caused after she is refused a role of herself in her own life story. The film is a meta narrative about the performative nature of identity.
It incorporates elements of Body Dysmorphia, Gender Dysphoria, Depersonalization, Derealization through the lens of acting.
Olivia’s identity crisis is given a human role in this film, played by her other personality- one that she considers to be the perfect version of herself.
