Music follows Nick down the dark path of grief and pain, spiraling him to the edge of suicide. As he tries to drown his pain in whiskey and isolation, a stranger reminds him that music is all around him, weaving memory and song together. Melodies begin to draw memories through the shadow of his quiet suffering, hinting at a path forward.
