A young boy named Xiao Ming sets out to find a wild horse after his mother tells him that his late grandfather has become one. Along his journey, he talks to various community members—a shopkeeper, a street food vendor, an elderly neighbor, and a security guard—each offering different perspectives on life, loss, and the afterlife. Through these conversations, Xiao Ming gradually comes to terms with his grandfather’s passing. The story ends with him dreaming of wild horses running freely on the grasslands, finally feeling at peace.
