2025 Annual Awards Interviews: Tiffany M Abney, Director & Producer of “Jules”

Jules

Join host Olivia Lyle (@olivialyle1) for an exclusive interview with Tiffany M Abney, the director and producer behind Jules, awarded Best Action Short of 2025 at the IndieX Film Fest Annual Awards. Captured by Kyle Reed (@thekylereed) at Regal LA Live, Los Angeles,

Set against the backdrop of the adrenaline-fueled motocross world, Jules follows the story of a woman in love with Clutch, a former motocross racer whose career was cut short by injury. Protective and controlling, Clutch forbids Jules from riding, but her craving for freedom leads her to the track in secret—where she meets Rome, a bold new rider who encourages her to reclaim her passion. Torn between loyalty, love, and liberation, Jules faces a fiery reckoning as her two worlds collide.

Though her face is often hidden behind helmets and harnesses, Tiffany M Abney’s talent has always taken center stage. A professional stuntwoman for over 12 years, Abney’s credits include an unforgettable leap from the Hollywood sign in Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood on Netflix. Now stepping fully into the director’s chair, Abney brings action, heart, and style to the screen with a filmmaker’s eye sharpened by experience few can match.

Watch the interview, and teaser, below to hear Tiffany’s insights on stunt work, storytelling, and her bold transition into directing.
