The film follows Olan, a troubled Army veteran returning to his small Texas hometown after years away. Out of work, out of a marriage, and too late for his father’s funeral, Olan is left with a rundown truck, a stack of debts, and a scrappy terrier named Cicero. As he tries to fulfill his father’s final wish—a military burial at Arlington—Olan must confront his past and face the man he never truly understood.
