Rookies is a buddy cop comedy short that follows two mismatched detective duos—Carlos and Alex, and Clark and Judy—as they compete to bust a major drug suspect. Hot-headed Carlos wants action now, while level-headed Alex insists on sticking to the plan. Just as they’re about to make a move, flashy newcomers Clark and Judy roll up blasting corridos—with a warrant and a point to prove. What starts as a tense stakeout spirals into chaos with petty rivalries, accidental gunfire, and a suspect who slips right through the middle of their mess.
