IndieX Film Fest is thrilled to welcome award-winning actress Kayden Tokarski as a guest speaker on the Q&A panel at this year’s Annual Awards event, taking place Saturday, June 7 at Regal LA Live in Los Angeles.

At just 15 years old, Kayden Tokarski is already a rising star known for her breakout role as young Julia Roberts (Martha Mitchell) in the Emmy-nominated limited series Gaslit.

Her growing filmography includes Love’s Fast Lane on Peacock; My Professor’s Deadly Secret and Killer in the Woods (formerly Mama Bear) on Lifetime; and Roswell Delirium alongside Anthony Michael Hall and Reginald VelJohnson on Apple TV. Most recently, Kayden wrapped production on the upcoming feature Bruton, in which she plays the daughter of Theo Rossi. She is also starring in the forthcoming fantasy films Curse of Vandor and its sequel, alongside Dee Wallace.

With a powerful presence both on screen and on stage, Tokarski’s talent has earned her numerous accolades—including Best Child/Young Actress at IndieX Film Festival in 2023 for her performance in My Melancholy Baby.

In addition to My Melancholy Baby, IndieX Film Fest has had the privilege of following Kayden Tokarski’s artistic journey through a diverse range of standout projects. She has appeared in several celebrated IndieX selections, including Message from the Mermaids, I Miss Her, Too, Cat Lady, American Halloween, The In-Between Place, and Stay Here. Her ability to bring depth and emotional honesty to every role has consistently resonated with our juries.

This year, Kayden will join the Q&A to bring a fresh perspective on independent film production—sharing her experience as a young actress and rising star working to carve a unique path in a competitive industry. Her insight into the creative process, collaboration, and the challenges of standing out in indie cinema promises to inspire both filmmakers and fellow actors.

In addition to her film and television work, Kayden has taken on leading roles in national commercials, including campaigns for the LA Clippers and Subaru, and appears as the niece of Joey Fatone in an upcoming spot.

A multi-talented artist, Kayden is also a singer and a Junior Olympian on the 1-meter diving board. Her commitment to giving back is equally notable—she has served as keynote speaker for the 33rd Annual Walk Against Drugs, participated in a Red Cross LA fundraiser, and supported the Joyful Child Foundation’s “Be Brave” pilot. In October 2024, she was named a Youth Ambassador for the nonprofit Breaking the Chains Foundation.

Kayden will join fellow guest speakers AJ Lambert, Anthony Young, and Carmine Carpenito, in Cinema #14 at 4:55 PM for a live Q&A session, following the screening blocks earlier in the day.
