Blue Jeans Blues

Our documentary, “Blue Jeans Blues”, focuses on the paradox about our love affair with denim, the most toxic textile in the garment industry. We are informing and educating how to, on an individual level, in our homes, make better choices to live more sustainably and protect our environment, especially our water. The fashion industry is the second largest consumer of our natural water resources. Not only are we shedding light on the environmental affects, we also demonstrate what can be done to minimize this growing problem. Through compelling interviews with industry experts, doctors in history and science, we interweave several at home projects which repurposes our old jeans into a brand new outfit we can feel proud of. The result is a reduction of our environmental footprint, as well, discarding less waste and decreasing consumption of new textiles.
