In the hot summer of 2001, a tween self-styled detective accepts a case from an old flame to hunt down her missing boyfriend, the son of the mayoral challenger. As he wades through a pile of lies and secrets, he stumbles upon something bigger than he bargained for, and has to save the neighborhood before it all comes crashing down.
