Suddenly Single in the Suburbs

Turns out marriage isn’t always forever and Prince Charming might just be a myth. In fact, according to the American Psychological Association 40-50% of married couples in the United States divorce. FU very much Disney and every rom-com ever written. Like many of you, I bought into the fairy-tale. But, at the higher end of 40, and after 15 years of marriage, I find myself suddenly single in the suburbs. This is no Carrie Bradshaw glamour where high fashion meets regular lunch dates and life long besties. This is the suburbs. We have kids, third row seating, soccer games, and Costco memberships. This is my story: the reality, both good and bad, of marriage, divorce, dating, and coming to terms with being single in the suburbs.

Directed by Denise Parella and Eric Francis Melaragni (USA)
