Jack, a mysterious loner, is confronted by an unexpected visitor, one who threatens to bring the demons of his past crashing down on his idyllic new life.

This is “Poached“, the award-winning neo-western directed by Jesse Lin confirmed for the lineup of IndieX November premiere screening at the Raleigh Studios Hollywood on Wednesday 27th, at 6 pm.

A twisting-and-turning, genre-bending short film shot on analog super 16mm, “Poached” explores tropes, genre, absurdity and vernacular; and is inspired by anime, video games, Hong Kong cinema, westerns, crime, neo-noir, British gangster films, and psychological thrillers.

The screening of “Poached” will be followed by a Q&A with director Jesse Lin and producer Jacqueline Puwalski.

Tickets on sale.
