In the wake of an accidental pregnancy, Brian proposes to his
religious girlfriend, Abby. Not being able to afford a ring, he steals one off of the corpse he finds in a swamp. Just when he thinks all is
well, he watches her hand slowly turn black and weathered, while Abby and others around her are totally oblivious. Brian descends into madness as he must decide whether or not he must take a drastic action to stop the decay from reaching the unborn baby.
